Simple & Inexpensive Ways To Improve Your Dental Office

Dental practice managementWhen your patients first enter your dental practice, a first impression has already been made. This is before they even meet you or your staff! Consider your reception area for a moment. What does it say about you and your practice? If you don’t love the message your front office and reception area send to your patients, there’s no better time to make a change right now!

There are easy ways that you can make the most of your space without spending tons of money to get there. Below are a few ways to provide a little extra oomph to your front office and make it more inviting to your patients:

EASY OFFICE MAKEOVER IDEAS

  • Skip the fake plants – Plants have always been a great decorating tool as they evoke feelings of wellbeing and vitality. However, if you have fake plants, you may want to consider switching over to the real thing. Fake plants can make you seem insincere. Choose plants that do well indoors and won’t need much in the way of upkeep. Your patients will be impressed and you won’t have to put in too much extra effort!
  • Add some background music – By adding in some mellow, relaxing, instrumental music to your office, you can help calm any dental anxiety your patients may have. You want them to feel safe and relaxed at your office. In addition, mellow music free of any lyrics has been shown to increase productivity in the workplace, so your employees and your practice will benefit as well!
  • Consider some small amenities – Small touches can go a big way in your office. Provide tissues, a coat rack, a drink station, and hand sanitizer. Make sure you offer a wide variety of magazines and keep them up to date! Your patient will notice if they keep reading the same magazine articles at every one of their yearly visits!
