There’s More to Growing Your Dental Practice than New Patients Alone

An image of a calendar month

When attempting to grow their dental practices, many dentists immediately focus on bringing in new patients. And while gaining new patients is certainly one part of growing your dental practice, there are few even more important steps!

3 Ways to Grow Your Dental Practice

Below are three other ways to grow your dental practice (besides bringing in new patients!)

  1. Schedule appointments on the day of service – If you’re allowing patients to leave your office without scheduling their next checkup, you might be struggling to keep your schedule full. We recommend making it a priority to schedule exams and follow-ups before the patient leaves your office.
  2. Forget problem patients – All dental practices will occasionally have patients who disrupt workflow by continuously canceling appointments last minute or failing to show up at all. Instead of attempting to schedule these problem patients, you should focus on the patients who respect your time!
  3. Focus your efforts – Lastly, it’s a good idea to reach out to inactive patients who are still on your rolls. In many cases, the patients who don’t currently have appointments at your office have already been recommended treatment options but have been avoiding it. It can be tough to know where to start with reactivation efforts. One simple way to stay organized is to go by the procedure. For example, employing a targeted marketing strategy based on a need to have a crown placed.

At Pro Dental Designs, we’re here to help your practice reach its goals. Combining the above strategies with efforts to improve your dental marketing is a recipe for success! To speak with a dental marketing expert, please call Pro Dental Designs!
